Alliance acquired a five-acre site, formerly industrial land, at the front of a 35-acre council-owned business park, Chamberhall – opposite the newly opened Greater Manchester Police HQ.
Planning consent was given for a 90,000 sq ft speculative office park development. A marketing strategy followed leading to talks with a national occupier with an existing local representation – LGC Standards.
Working closely with the Council and planners to ensure LGC Standards’ specific requirements were met, Alliance helped the company to relocate to a new bespoke building, totalling 20,000 sq ft and incorporating a turn-key office and laboratory facility. The build was completed within 10 months.
The occupier has described the new accommodation as ‘second to none’ and the asset is now part of Alliance’s investment portfolio.
